I truly am a “Jack of all Trades” and have waded through many activities which have, at that moment in time, enriched my life.
As of late, two seem to occupy my free time. Crafting jewelry and writing.
Jewelry works my hands and writing my mind. As I am on the road most of the time, writing is in the forefront.
My writing, if you have read any of it bounces from the serious to the silly and mundane. Writing is my outlet for thought. It helps me relax and sleep at night. It helps me tell a story. It helps me show that, in fact, I do actually care at times.
I have had times in my life where thinking on the what was/ifs overwhelm me. Not in a depressive way; but it’s as if I can feel the weight of everything. The good, the bad, as the saying goes, the ugly. Writing allows me to let these feelings flow from my mind to the “paper”.
However, sometimes just a thought, a song, or seeing something triggers the need to write. When I write, I want the reader, if there is one, to just be in the words. For when you read my works, they should be about you in that moment; not what I was thinking or feeling. Words tend to be the way I paint. I have zero skill in the drawing and painting arts.
As far as enriching my life, writing de-stresses. It organizes thought. It has helped me connect with new friends I never would have met in my normal travels.
Even now, you are learning a little about me. Hopefully you can enrich my life more by just saying hi.
This post is part of a Wednesday challenge my friend and real blogger, Magaly Guerrero, is putting out there. Her writings are most awesome as her life experience give her so much ammo, she never has to reload.
Go check her out at https://magalyguerrero.com
Have a great night!
